Rupesh C. Shah  (Managing Director)

He is a Ceramic Engineer from U.S.A. and is handling the entire group operation since 1975. Under his guidance the Company is manufacturing Porcelain, Steatite, Cordierite, Heavy Clay Items like Ceramic Pipes and Sanitary wares as well as Sodium Silicate.

He is running altogether 10 Companies manufacturing above products as well looks after export under the name of M/s. Sonya Ceramics (Export Division).

Over and above he is also holding number of good positions in Ceramic field and at social front too.

He is the President of Ahmedabad Pottery Manufacturers Association since last 9 years. He is Vice Chairman of Indian Ceramic Society (Gujarat Chapter). Since last 9 year he is also a Committee Member of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and he is also Honorary Member of Advisory Committee of Central Glass Ceramic Research Institute. He also holds the post as a Member of Indian Standard Committee of S.W. Pipes and Fittings.

Under his leadership, M/s. Sonya Ceramics (Export Division) has been awarded excellency in Exports for consecutively last 5 years i.e. 1991 to 1996.
 

She graduated as an Honors Student with her MBA from L.I.U. (USA) in 1998.  She did her specialization in Marketing & International Business.

During her 2 years stay she worked with C.R.C. in NY where she was working as a marketing executive responsible for doing projects & presentation for C.R.C. clients located in East of U.S. She has joined Sonya Ceramics in August '99 and is currently handling two companies : Sparkling ceramics and J. R. Exports.

He graduated as an Engineer (Mechatronics) and did MBA(London).During his stay at London he worked for some of FTSE-100 Companies like British Gas and London Energy.

He srtarted his career in Sonya Ceramics as General Manager in 2007. Being in-charge of Production facilities at Ahmedabad his responsibilities include production planning, manufaturing, quality control, despatch and sales. In a Company which boast of number of Managers, Supervisors, Ceramists, Tool Makers, Skilled & Semi-skilled Workers, he co-oridinates them on day to day basis to ensure smooth running of operations as well motivates them to reach the target growth of 25 to 30%per annum.

He is an Electrical Engineer from Navel Engineering College - Jamnagar - 1962. He has vast experience of 10 years in Electrical Department in Indian Navy. After that he went to Delhi and joined Switch gear Manufacturing Company. His job was to look after Quality Control and Manufacturing. He was also responsible for getting ISI. License for above Company and he has joined M/s. Sonya Ceramics (Kadi Unit) in year 1987. Since then, he is looking after the complete plant operation at Kadi.

J. K. Shah (Chief Executive Office - Kadi Plant)

He is a Mechanical Engineer from L. D. College of Engineering and also holds Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt. Polytechnic. He has vast experience of 30 years in many field like Projects & Development, Production, Quality Control, Maintenance etc. and has worked in many renowned firms.
He has also visited U.S.A. and Singapore for Marketing & Manufacturing activity.
He is mainly responsible for Manufacturing, Quality Control, Procurement of Raw Material, Orders Procurement & Co-ordination of all the above departments.

He has done B. Tech in Ceramic Engineering from Kolkata University. After Graduation he underwent training at Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata. He has a vast experience in various fields of Ceramic Industry mainly Industrial/Technical Ceramics. He has worked with many renowned firms.
He joined Sonya Group in April 1999. He took charge of High Alumina Project and is also in-charge of Research and development of new items.

He graduated as Bachelor of Commerce from H. A. College, Ahmedabad in 1996.He did his graduation in Business Management.
Thereafter he went for further studies for "Diploma in Industrial Relation & Personal Management" & thereafter "Diploma in Human Resource Development".
At present he is in-chage of Sparkling Ceramics, Where he looks after production Administration etc. He also looks after Liaison work clearing with all Government Authorities.

Manufacturing S. W. Pipes & Fittings since 1960, in the range of 100 MM to 450 MM dia & in length of 2' to 3'. Are also holding ISI. License since 1985. Also actively engaged in exporting since 1977 to Oman, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Sri Lanka, Jordan, Kuwait etc.

Manufacturing Special Ceramics of app. 1000 different items in different grades such as Steatite, Cordierite, High Alumina, Porcelain etc. etc. These cover parts such as Capacitor Bush, Beads, Band Heaters and many custom made parts. Also engaged in exporting their products to countries like U.S.A., Germany, Sweden etc.

Manufacturing L. T. Insulators of different sizes as per party's Drawing and demand. Production is appr. 200 Ton per month. Covers up to 11 KVA Insulators in Brown glaze, cream & gray.

Manufacturing complete Switchgear range from 5 Amp to 500 Amp. Our range includes :-

LT-Insulators : All Porcelain type of fuse units, Switch Accessories, D. P. ,Custom made designs such as Lamp Holder, Change over switch are manufactured. Special Shapes can be under taken

Coloured Glazed Roofing Tiles : This is Specialty of Sparkling Ceramics.
Customized Glazed Roofing Tiles in all colours are manufactured in following sizes
3.25" x 2.5" Tailor Type, 6.5" x 5"Tailor Type, 12" x 4" Straight Type.

Ceramic Grinding Media and Ball Mill Lining: Hand made porcelain balls and machine made taper and straight lining bricks.

Manufacturing Sodium Silicate & is supplying to renowned Soap manufacturers & Textile Units. Silicate is produced in both forms i.e. solid as well as liquid.
